Academic Load

For Undergraduate Students

A total of 120 credits are required for graduation. Students should carry 12 to 15 credits each term. 15 or 18 credits each term is considered normal academic load. Students planning to attend all three terms may be considered full-time by taking 12 credits. Students working more than twenty hours per week are advised not to carry the full load of studies. The student’s academic load is subject to reduction or limitation by the registrar for poor scholarship or excessive work outside of school hours.

For Graduate Students

A total of 36 term credits are required for graduation. Students should carry nine credits each term. Nine credits each term is considered normal academic load. Students planning to attend all three terms including summer term may be considered full-time by taking 9 term credits. Students working more than nine credit hours per week are advised not to carry the full load of studies. The student’s academic load is subject to reduction or limitation by the registrar for poor scholarship or excessive work outside of school hours.
